I might be the only one who still can't figure out why they saw fit to remake Aaron Copland's composition. Copland's original is quite nice...there was no need to remake this. Unless it was a case of rampaging egos or something.

It's a fine song but it's his biggest hit and must be a little odd performing it after going through rehab.

10. I found a CD at the library... |
...of Elton John, just before he became famous, doing one of those "anonymous studio musicians that sound just like the original hit recordings" K-Tel-style albums of Chartbusters Go Pop! 16 Legendary Covers from 1969-70. You've got Sir Reg doing versions of "classics" like United We Stand, Spirit in the Sky, Yellow River, My Baby Loves Lovin', and several Creedence numbers...and sounding nothing at all like the original performers. Hilarious!

The people who wrote the song say that Faith's version came closest to how they orginally intended it to be sung.

Neil Diamond's tribute to child molesters, known as "Girl, You'll Be a Woman Soon" surely has to top the list?
Google the title; the lyrics speak for themselves. :scared:
