A fighting question...
I have seen Fight Club(numerous times), and I assume that a good number of the Loungers, have also seen this movie...there was a portion of this movie, where Brad Pitt asked Ed Norton, which celebrity/famous person would you fight. And, tonight, I ask the same question to you Loungers....Which celebrity/famous person/whomever would you want to fight? And, name two of them....

For me, its Ben Affleck, and Bruce Lee...I dislike Ben Affleck, not for all of his cheesy roles, but for his one role/voice characterization in the Joseph(the coat of many colors) animation.....I have seen that anime like a billion effing times, and his whining voice just makes me cringe...

As for Bruce Lee...I just want to test myself...he is supposedly the best fighter(ever), and I just can't believe a dude so effing small can kick so much ass, and I would love for him...to prove just how tough his is(regardless of the ass whooping, that I might recieve).....

3. Celebrity? I'd fight O'Reilly, Hannity and Limbaugh one right after the other
in a UFC style Octagon if they would go for it. That would be my celebrity pick.

Other than that, I'd fight Floyd Mayweather because he's been talking shit about MMA and, given the time to train and get in shape, I'd wipe the floor with him in a fight.

4. Sounds good...good choices there, :)
But Mayweather ? I accept that is a challenge there partner....but who else would you like to challenge, that would actually challenge YOU? O'Reilly/Hannity are more than likely pushover's....so who else would you want to fight/challenge, that would actually test you?

12. maybe Manny Pacquaio
UFC guys are too big for me. Even the lowest weight class. Like Mayweather, I could take him down at will, he wouldn't even know what to do. He's just a pure boxer. So even though he has size, I could handle that, he just is too one-dimensional. One clinch and he'd be screwed.

I don't really know of an actor or anybody I would like to fight.

I guess we'll find out what I can back up or not. I am coming out of retirement to compete again and I may have a sponsor, so we'll see. :)

15. But, how do you know he is one dimensional though?
Maybe he has some street/fight cred, besides his boxing talent....:D

But, I bet O'Reilly would give you a fight...he will probably drown in spin.....thats probably his killer move!

20. he'd have to be a world-class grappler
to worry me, which he isn't. Street fighting stuff that can help to an extent, but it probably wouldn't help him at all if I got ahold of him. He'd have to catch me right off, which is possible, but not likely. Once I got him to the ground, he'd be in big trouble. Of course, this is providing I am in shape and all. Like if I fought him tomorrow, I'd be hurting. I'm not saying I could just step out and wallop the guy after I just walked off the street. That would be lunacy. Nor would I try to stand and trade with him either. That would get me killed.

If Floyd wasn't available though, I'd fight Shatner... William Shatner.

27. When Dale Murphy was on the Braves,
I liked them. It's just the modern era Braves, as well as the Braves' fans I don't like. I used to live in Atlanta. The Braves can't even sell out a playoff game. Besides, I'm a Twinkies fan, and I got in too many fights because I lived in Atl during that World Series. I even got suspended from school because of the Braves.

But...the first big league game I saw(on tv no less) was the Braves/Pirates back in....damn....91 or so? I was watching them on UHF channel, and I became a big S. Avery/T. Pendleton fan....

About the only fans that I don't like, are OU Sooner fans(college football/basketball)....bleh, those fans can get outta hand(except fishwax, that guy's a-ok in my book)....

35. My problem with the Braves' fans is
the fact that there was an average of 9 people at the games when Dale Murphy was their best player, then, when they got good, everyone was a life long fan. Now, they can't even sell out a playoff game. Atlanta fans are pathetic. That's why, even after living in that shithole town for 15 years, I remained a Minnesota fan.

Tom Cruise-because I just don't like the guy.

Derek Boogaard-enforcer for the Minnesota Wild just because I'd like to see how I match up against the guy who, at 6'7" and 270 lbs, will be one of the greatest hockey goons the NHL has ever seen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rR1EGzp9DLY

I think my problem with Tom Cruise began when he flexed to look at his watch in Top Gun. I've wanted to kick his arse ever since then.

As far as Boogaard...I hope my insurance would cover the other 9/10 of my hospital stay, because I'm pretty sure I would look like hamburger meat after it was all over with. I'd still fight him if I got the chance.

43. oh yeah I watched that
Randy whipped some ass. Those guys were terrified. That's just a whole new level. Like that one guy was a military hand to hand combat instructor and Randy tapped him out 5 times. Just brutal. But to be fair, if somebody doesn't know anything, it's easy to get tapped out. Like those guys were just walking into submissions, haha. I was once wrestling around with one of my friends, big tall skinny guy, about 6'4 maybe 180 or so, I caught him in a choke with his shirt. I didn't think I had it, because we were just playing around. He started breathing funny, I just thought he was getting winded, then he went limp. I totally choked him out cold! It scared me at first, I thought I killed the guy. But that's how easy it is, you slap on a choke wrestling around and next thing you know guys are tapping, haha.

Gardner is a legitimately great wrestler. He came back and got the bronze in 2004. He probably would have won it again if he didn't have that hunting accident when he almost froze to death, he lost a toe (maybe more than one?) and he had to relearn how to wrestle etc. He got Karelin at a good time though. 8-10 years before and it would have been lights out. Karelin won his 1992 gold medal by pinning the guy in 16 seconds, he was just that much better than everybody. Nobody could touch him at that age, not ever.
