My pick for the derby- Scat Daddy!
I don't know nuthin about the ponies but I love that name. As a matter of fact when I finish "pimp school" I may use that name as my "pimp" name.

1. Pimp School?
Is there an entrance exam? Is there a separate Madam School?

4. Ever watch "The Man show"?
There was an episode where adam corolla and jimmy kimmel had snoop dog teach them how to be a pimp. If Snoop ever decides to open a school I plan on attending seeing as I already have my name picked out and all.

5. Well, if you can be a pimp,
then I can be a madam. If we teamed up, we could appeal to all kinds of people and make lots of money.

6. How about a "niche market"?
I think a "midget brothel" would do very well in Nevada. People would pay good money for that opportunity.

7. Good pickin'!
No 3-year-old in the world was beating Street Sense today. Triple Crown here we come! That run today was poetry.

9. Teofilo would have!

Had he been healthy. And if it was on the grass. :P

I was fairly unsure about Hard Spun's ability to get the distance...but I thought he could be rated a bit more. I'm not good at handicapping dirt, but I really don't like to see him go to the lead and not slow it down, considering all those closers. I cringed when they opened up before the final turn.

Maybe my mind is just too tainted from turf racing. :silly: I know dirt is a different ball game.

I just checked the other thread - you had him! Congratulations! w00t!! :bounce: :toast: :bounce:

edit: it was a magnificent run, great win by Street Sense. The jinx is over.

11. Hard Spun's by Danzig...
so I thought you might like him. He ran a good race to be game like that and will be tough in the Preakness. I think SS is on a whole other level, though.

And thanks - first Derby winner I've picked since Smarty (must've been the Smarty Jones cap I wore today).

Let's get Street Sense and Teofilo to race in the Arc, eh? :P

12. Yes, I thought Hard Spun ran a heck of a race
I'm curious to see if SS will hold up as the others mature. He's a big, strong colt and once the others catch up...who knows. Still, can't deny how much he's done so far.

I'd be happy to see those two in the Arc! :) Maybe we can bring Ouija Board out of retirement for you, too, eh?

Curlin did very well for himself, too. I can't wait to see what he becomes later in the year! :bounce:

8. That was my favorite name, too.
I didn't hear where he finished, though.

Kudos to Street Sense, who ran a brilliant race.
