I was daydreaming today. I caught myself imagining what would America look like if MLK had lived. I love reading about and listening to Dr. King so much. It breaks my heart to think he was killed at such a young age. (39)
What do you think would be different today if MLK had lived? I think we certainly would have had Universal Health-care and a more humane foreign policy.

I could see him doing a stint in the House of Reps or some similar governmental position. But overall, I'm skeptical to say that things would've changed dramatically. Guys like John Lewis and Julian Bond are somewhat recognizable, but people don't automatically equate them with MLK.

5. He would be treated worse than Jesse Jackson. |
|
He would constantly be referred to as a race baiter. And half the people who like him now that he is dead would be against him because he talks about race too much.

8. He wouldn't be a saint like now, but he might be former President King |
|
I would expect that he wouldn't have nearly the saintly image he has now, but he would probably have become President in 1988. Imagine President King instead of George Bush I?
