If you could go back to one year what would it be? |
|
1993, Nirvana (Kurt was alive and rockin), senior year of highschool (I knew everything), Grunge style, bad haircut, bad job, psycho girlfriend, drugs, alcohol, shitty car, buying a dollar's worth of gas at a time, Lollapalooza, 2 hours of sleep a night, running from the cops, firecrackers in the mall.
I'm 14 years past my prime, boo hoo. Bring back grunge.

Or, maybe, 1985. It was a pivotal year for me, coming hard on the heels of a year of massive heartache...there was a girl in Texas, too, that I could have done things differently with, and I have often wondered what would happen if I did. I traveled the US on a shoestring that year, taking a year off in the middle of my degree (badly messed up by this girl, almost killed in a motorcycle crash that was one of four I had in the previous year) to come to this country.
In 1975 I was a kid, 11 years old, and had the best kind of place to live in -- an outdoor pursuits center in a remote part of my home country -- and traveled to another country for a month of most excellent exploring. I didn't yet know I was going to be as lonely as I later got and it was a great time. I lived in the sea, the bush, and the rivers. The music was good, too. :D
