I just had the weekend from hell at my brother's wedding - sporting the fugliest bridesmaid dress ever, which they made me order 8 sizes larger than my normal size since it "runs small". They charged me an extra $100 for being tall (I'm 5'7") and $100 for the plus size. Needless to say, I spent $150 on alterations, and the tailor cut 8 inches off the bodice, and 6 inches off the length....

I'm actually going to be the flower grrl in LostinVA and Haruka's wedding in September too...Just sent them my measurements yesterday. The company that that dress is coming from is cool, they don't charge more for being tall or plus size. :)

You'll love it--trust me--mine was nearly identical, except with cap sleeves (and it was ivory), and I can still look fondly at my wedding pics years later. I was soooooo glad I didn't cave to the latest trend even though "everyone else is wearing it..."--ye olde strapless gown. I knew I couldn't get away with that nonsense (nor did I want to). And no beads and crap. Excellent choice!
