I ordered personalized checks for this first time in my life, and just got them in the mail. They are made from recycled paper and soy ink, and they were pretty cheap, but the best part is the personalized message above the signature:

I was around 5 seconds away from ordering, "Impeach the bastard!", but went with the other instead. In light of story about the religious nutjob military guy over in GD, I think this messge will be just fine.

in people's minds. I once read an article where the author sent in his monthly bills' checks made out to outrageous names, like Mickey Mouse, instead of ATT&T. No one ever noticed, they got cashed just the same. :)

They have okay designs, what appealed to was the enviro aspect of them. There was a special offer in the Sunday paper, so I got 2 boxes or $7+ -- not to bad. They can be pretty inexpensive, so long as you are not in a big hurry -- then you have to pay big $$$ for the expedited shipping.
