Yes!

I'm so excited for her. This means a whole lot in book sales.

She writes mystery novels. Her novel was also nominated for the Edgar but she was a runner-up. But being a runner-up is still huge.

I'm guessing Nancy Pickard...

Best Novel:
All Mortal Flesh, by Julia Spencer-Fleming (St. Martin's Minotaur)
Messenger of Truth, by Jacqueline Winspear (Holt)
The Saddlemaker's Wife, by Earlene Fowler (Penguin Group)

WINNER The Virgin of Small Plains, by Nancy Pickard (Random House)

Why Casey Had to Die, by L.C. Hayden (Five Star)

6. Yes. She is Nancy Pickard. And she has written a bunch of
mystery/suspence novels that have done very well.

But winning these big awards is just so much fun. And so good for her book sales.

I think her book also won the Lovey Award. So it has done really, really well.

She is now working on another book set in Kansas. She lives in Kansas.

Yea!
