Scifi.com: no end has been announced for Battlestar Galactica.

Flight of Battlestar Continues

Battlestar Galactica's search for Earth continues to be an open-ended adventure, executive producer David Eick said.

Contrary to comments by Edward James Olmos (Adm. Adama) at the Saturn Awards on May10, no end has been announced for the award-winning show. Battlestar Galactica is preparing to film its fourth season, one that will include 22 episodes, rather than the previously announced 13.

"For those of you who have been paying attention over the years, this is not the first time Eddie has made an announcement about the possibility of the show's end," chuckled Eick. "I promise you that when Ron and I make a decision about Galactica's future, we'll let you know."

1. Still, it's time
Otherwise it'll simply fall into the sci-fi trap of doing the story lines every other sci-fi show has already beaten to death - just with their own characters and settings.

Season 1 and 2 were unbelievable, 3 was definitely starting to show the wear and tear on the plot. That episode about the corrupt doctor knocking off people, total waste of time.

2. I don't care, as long as it's good!
Honestly, I have a hard time understanding where else they can go with the story. Wrapping it up in season 4 seems the logical thing to do, but the writers have surprised me before.

PS -- BSG is the best science fiction show on TV.... ever! That's quite a concession from a die hard Ghost in the Shell fan.
