Anyone else not celebrate mother's day?
We seriously don't in my family. My mother says it's a made up holiday to get us to spend money. My mom is funny.

1. I don't.
... my mom's been gone for 20+ years, and I'm not 'officially' a mom anymore since HippieKid is living with the dad and stepmonster now.

2. My son died on Mother's Day. I still have two other children, but they know I have bad memories
associated with that day, so we pretty well ignore it.

5. Jehovah's Witnesses
I'd give you their reasoning, but you wouldn't believe me.

7. I agree with your mom even though I still send my mom a card. Just
reading through this thread is sad. But if you check out the other thread I started about Mother's Day for Peace.......that is way cool.

I've got an MSNBC special on about kids living on the streets. It makes Mother's Day seem very un-important.
