1. Why would you sign a petition for something that's already going to happen? |

she'll be out in 22 days. They should have given her 3 months. Driving with a suspended license, no head lights on, and speeding? She is a tragedy waiting to happen if she doesn't learn a lesson now.

9. She IS a tragedy. Or, at least, the crux as to why tragedies happen. |

10. oh please millions of people do that all the time, in the south they do anyway |
|
and they don't get 22 days!
that's really excessive, they're making an example of her because she's a celebrity

15. she's being jailed for suspended license, not the DUI plus DUI is only 2 days anyway, around here |

so yeah she is clearly being unfairly singled out compared to average
driving on a suspended license is not a safety hazard, having a piece of plastic in your wallet does not magically make you a safe or unsafe driver
we all must know dozens of people who have done far worse and never been arrested for more than a few hours, i know i do
and all this started w. a first time barely BAC of 0.08 from drinking one margarita on a small-boned woman -- she probably wasn't even impaired to begin with -- or would you agree with, say, your mom being arrested because of one drink?
it's just crazy, and it certainly doesn't seem fair, basically it seems the law is saying that if you are a small woman, you cannot even have one drink when you go out or you are legally considered a hazard, which is completely insane to start with
and in any case she is NOT being jailed for the DUI, it's the suspended license, some judge's feelings are hurt, would they be hurt if she was a poor unknown woman going to work on her suspended license, no they would allow it, but since she is a celebrity by all means let's crap on her and make an example of her
that is not justice, the law should be the same for all
again, if this happened to you, or your mom, i think you would quickly see the unfairness of it
i don't even like this useless woman but i hate injustice more
