I'd be looking for heads to roll if my son were there
that's insane
the staff needs to learn how to handle the situation and the kids need to just be kids as long as they can without traumatizing them with such things
:grr:

If they were to pull that shit on my kids, I'd be finding a lawyer. And I'm not the litigious sort -- I passed up opportunities to sue, but not here. Somebody's gotta lose a job!

6. School's explanation.... |
|
Apparently it's "tradition" that the teachers come up with something to scare the shit out of kids on this field trip. This time, though, the school board president thinks they went a "little too far."
YA THINK??????????

9. So their story is evolving |
|
Usually a sign of CYA. In the original story the assistant principal, who led the trip, defended the schools actions as educational:
“We got together and discussed what we would have done in a real situation."

When I was a kid, it was a teen counselor in a gorilla costume charging into the barracks at 2 AM bellowing at the top of his lungs.

I hope they're fired, or at least have some major consequences. If that had happened at my kids' school I would raise HELL!!!! :grr:
