Where'd the time go? I must've blinked or something.

I know exactly how you feel. You try to cherish every moment but it still passes too quickly.

6. It really does...
and, dammit, I'm getting all smushy at the littlest things these days. Tomorrow is his last day of classes and tomorrow night is some kind of senior awards ceremony thingie, then Wednesday is Senior day and that's it until the actual ceremony which is a week from tomorrow.

Seems like I just took him to kindergarten and left him sitting there at the table -- he was so nervous and so excited.

*sigh*

I'm far from empty-nesting -- still got three more to go and none of the five are moving out (#1 son recently boomeranged -- and brought his SO with him, so I'm actually up one)...but somehow seeing him graduate makes me realize that he's not my little Bonehead any more.

Now he's my BIG Bonehead.

9. Just got mine a few days ago
(college)

And I have a bone to pick with gown manufacturers. Apparently, they can't understand that there are tall overweight people. They have "plus" sizes, but it's messed up; the gowns long enough for me are too small around, and the ones that are vaguely close to fitting assume that i'm three feet tall and spherical. It goes from can't-breath-because-it's-too-tight to GODDAMNED-CIRCUS-TENT in one step. Look, I'm a tall, moderately overweight guy, and that's something I share with a lot of college students. Well, at least my mother sews, so she's tailoring one of the elephant sized gowns down in size to fit me.

Rant off. :D

Congrats to your son!

10. Congrats to you!!!
Bonehead's going to UNC-Greeley in the fall so he's starting again.

GAH! It never occurred to me that his gown might not fit. It should.

It better. If it doesn't, I've got a week to fix it.

:scared:

14. Thanks
He's studying music education -- he wants to teach music in a middle school. And yeah -- he's been to Greeley. They have a jazz festival there every spring and he's commented on the smell.

Gotta love that meat-packing plant.

Poor kid. But then again, I've been in his room. And he's taken his shoes off.

18. Heh...
you should've seen his outfit for Easter. He had a pink paisley bow tie and matching pink suspenders. Went very nicely with the light green shirt he wore.

Single parent. No one to tell me I was going to scar him for life. I oughta try and get the bow tie and tug boat on him again.

I put #1 son in sweaters and ties and saddle oxfords when he was very little, too.
