I wonder though if what would have the most impact on influencing other people is the price of gas one. Even politically apathetic people can't help but feel the burden of the increased gas prices. They might not care about gitmo or the bill of rights but people care about the cost of a gallon of gas. That alone may be enough to guaranty a win in 2008.

My commute takes me from Pennsylvania into New Jersey, and I see them everywhere these days. It gives me hope that next year will be a huge turning point for the country when we finally throw Repuke government into the toilet (along with the religious right) where they belong.
