What a shitty day

Ouch!

An 8-foot-long 2"x6" just fell out of an overhead joist hanger and hit me on the forehead about an hour ago. It cut me from scalp half way to my eye. It just plain knocked the shit and all out of me. Ouch! Bled like a stuck hog. We got it stopped and pulled it back together with bandages. My wife wanted to head to the hospital. Nonsense.

Now I can't put on my helmet; can't go ride the bike this afternoon. Its a drop-dead gorgeous day too.

Head injuries should *always* be taken seriously.

Trauma can take hours, I believe even days, to show up
sometimes.
