Log in, without the icon showing, to see how many friends are logged in.

Then, reset your icon so it shows you're logged in...

and then see how many of your friends immediately log off!

*sigh*

Maybe I just have a persecution complex, lately, I don't know....

but, I have noticed this happening.

1. i think the red blinky icon is fake. it oftens shows lisa online

I found out from a friend of mine, who told me when he'd logged out. And, he said it takes awhile to turn off. Then, I noticed it on my own. I don't know why...but the stupid icon aggravates me either way. I feel dishonest when I hide it, but I feel like I'm advertising for people to talk to me when I show it!

If I log into IMs they know I'm on. Otherwise I may not feel like chatting.

When you open up your messages, don't you get a tinge of guilt from having the on-line icon hidden?

I mean, people can tell when you're on-line. I wish it didn't show "read" once messages are opened.

Other than a few political "friends" I know everyone that is my friend. They all know I hide most of the time. As far as strangers go-I don't really care what their opinion is!

I should probably mention that when I do show on-line, I tend to get emails from younger boys asking to hook up…I prefer to avoid that!

Got a smug young freeper-lad going on the abortion issue the other day. He was arguing that all abortions are murder. I asked him if he knew when the soul entered the baby. "At conception" he replied...(with a bunch of gobeldy-gook about chromosomes and dna and such thrown in). I then asked him where did that soul come from, the man or the woman. He said he could not be sure but more than likely it was a 50-50 split with half coming from each.
I then pointed out that he may want to rethink that OR rethink his "private" recreation priorities.
