Actually, that's only half of it. ANY American citizen who can get accepted into 4 year college or university based on either academic or performing arts qualifications (NOT SPORTS!!!) gets a 50% FIVE-YEAR scholarship to the most expensive university that they can get into. AND can take that 50% scholarship and apply it any other less expensive school, including a community college OR TRADE SCHOOL that they can get into, for up to 100% scholarship including room, board, books and fees (any extra after that must be returned.)

Any American citizen who can get into graduate school on unconditional admittance in any field of science/medicine/engineering gets a full fellowship. Any American citizen who goes into the field of medicine and passes their medical exams gets free malpractice insurance for the first 5 years, as long as at least 50% of their patients are considered "low income".

Goodness, what an effect this would have...

No American parent would ever have to worry about tuition again, as long as the kid got decent grades. No American citizen would ever have to scramble to find the money to go back to college, if they hadn't gone in the beginning, as long as they could get themselves admitted later on.

Can you imagine what our nation would be like if doctors didn't have to pay back student loans, or worry about malpractice insurance for the first five years???? It might not fix the prescription drug problem, but seeing a specialist would get a heckuva lot easier!
