Convinced a 19 year old naive country girl that he loved her beyond belief. Proposed on his knees at the airport, big old diamond ring and all. Was incredibly enthusiastic about the notion of having children, to the point of begging to go ahead and start a family now, because he'd "be getting his trust fund soon and money would never be a problem".

He got his trust fund, all right. He took the money, skipped the country to go live with some chick in Australia that he met online, and left me pregnant, stranded in another state, and abandoned. He has told his family (his Mom is a bit of a celebrity who lives in Ireland now) that I'm a whore, and that the baby isn't his, in order to make sure none of them think badly of him for what he did. He's never even bothered to call his son (who is now almost 7 years old) on the phone--much less visit him. I haven't seen him since the night he left, when I was about 3 months pregnant.

I was such a stupid, trusting IDIOT when I was young.

After 6 1/2 years together when I was the one who wanted to wait to get engaged. He first asked about 3 years earlier. Spent the next 3 years convincing me to get married, buy a house etc etc, then when I finally came round to the idea decided ACTUALLY, he needed to be single for a bit before he could make that commitment.

BUT still calls me several times a day, says I'm his best friend, shows up unannounced for my birthday, befriends the ONLY other guy I'm interested in and basically does anything he can to make sure I'll never get over him, meanwhile he does whatever he wants and lies to me about it.
