Please help my daughter get a scholarship with your vote

My daughter is a stay at home mother of three and is starting an online course in graphics design with the Art Institute. She has already helped her husband graduate on the Dean's List with an Associates Degree in Business, also from an online school.

My daughter is a member of DU but rarely posts so she doesn't have enough to put up her own OP, her screen name is AJH.

Hello all, I’ve recently enrolled in the Art Institute's online program to study graphic art. I’ve entered a scholarship competition, and must make the top 10% to continue on to the next round of judging. All I’m asking is for you to click on the link I’m providing below, and vote for my entry, should you feel that your vote is justified. If you feel you can pass on my link to others I would be extremely grateful.

I don’t ask for help often, and it’s almost difficult to type this out – BUT – I want this scholarship (free money is always good :-D), so I’m doing what it takes to get myself there.

I'm a designer myself, and I remember trying to break into the field. As my art teacher told us in the first day of our first class of our first semester: you are now an artist; the only thing holding you back is that you haven't yet given yourself permission to excel as an artist. But no technical skill will add to or detract from what is inside you ready to come out now.

Eek, the Art Institute is expensive. Keep your eye on the bottom line and don't trust them. I lucked out with a nice community college whose art and design department was headed by an award-winning ace multimedia artist, who also happened to be an absolutely inspired teacher and excellent artist all around in diverse media - and a great person. And I paid $50 per credit hour plus books.

7. Yep, sixteen thousand dollars..

She already got a one thousand dollar Pell Grant and the scholarship is worth ten thousand.

As a stay at home mom, Ali can't really get away enough to go to a college and we live in a semi rural area so the commute time would be excessive.

21. This is actually a shameless kick for more votes..

However I'm going to disguise it as a heartfelt Muchos Gracias to all who have already voted for my daughter's entry in the scholarship contest.

My wife and I are unable to help our daughter financially with school and posting a plea for help here is the best thing I could think of to help her with her schooling.

To say that I'm overwhelmed by the generous response to my request is hardly adequate to convey my feelings toward DU right now.

May you all receive such generous help when you really need it.
