I've got a generation 2 tivo that's networked with my computer. I'm trying to think how to phrase this question -- do I need a second tivo subscription to be able to watch recorded shows on a different TV? I know I can watch them on the computer and I know I can transfer them to another tivo in my network but if I'm only using one tivo to record and the other to just watch do I need to have two subscriptions? Or is there another way to watch it on a different TV w/o buying a second tivo? It's late and I'm not sure I'm making sense here -- I already have the capability to record 2 shows, I don't need to increase my ability to record, just my options to play back. help?

1. I'd guess you don't need two subscriptions |

But I only have one tivo, so what do I know? Here's a site that might be useful if you don't get an answer on DU. http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/

2. I used to have it set up so that I'd record on one TIVO with a subscription and transfer it to a |
|
second tivo that I had without a sub. So you can transfer to a second box without a second sub, but I don't know of a way to share the video without a second tivo box.
