:(
I am so fucking pissed. Some old lady rear ended me. I was stopped at a stop sign and she hit me. She told me her foot slipped off the brake. :eyes: It needs a new back bumper...it's not too bad but now I have to deal with all the bullshit that comes a long with this. Who knows how long my car will be tied up, I'll need to get a rental car, need to go through insurance, blah, blah, blah...
I need a hug.
I'm sorry I am calling this lady old, I am sure some of you out there will find that offensive but her husband told me he was 77, she looked a bit younger and he said they both just got out of the hospital. I'm sorry but when people get to a certain age, they need to be re-tested for their driver's license. This woman should not have been on the road. It could've been worse. Thank goodness I feel fine now although my back will probably hurt tomm.
:(

In a few months it'll probably just be a funny story: "Yeah, no shit--there I was, just sittin' there and...."
At least that's how I like to look at stuff.

5. I'm sorry you got hit. I don't mind the "old" part, but do you really need the "bag"? |

She didn't want to call the police. I don't know what was up with that. She's an old hag, bag, whatever I want to call her. I am pissed. At least she had insurance.
I know it could happen to any of us but I am keeping the bag part because I am still pissed off.

that should make the insurance and everything go faster.
My car got rear ended last year. I filed a claim with the other person's insurance and they took care of everything. I just had to drop off the car at one of their body shops (could have used any body shop, but theirs was a decent one). They made all the arrangements for the work and for the rental to pick me up. All I had to do was sign some paperwork.

Little old lady turned to wide and scrapped across the back tire, gouged some of the hub, and cracked the every living shit out of my back bumper. I could not be mad at her. She was very upset. I thought of my grandmother and treated her like that. But she should not be driving. She was having to use a walker for Cripes sake.
Nice thing is her insurance was great, had someone out that same day, and had me a check by the end of the day. I had it fixed in about a week.

24. The same thing happened to me in my little downtown before they even got the traffic signal |
|
on 9/12/01... a big rig driver(it's a truck route) "didn't see my car". I chalked it up to the fact that everyone was pretty distracted. I was supposed to get everything fixed, what appeared to be minor damage to the rubber-covered bumper and a slight crimp in the edge of the car's body behind it, for ~$750.00. I waited for a while, the trucking co's insurance went under, and we got a check for that amount from the insurance commissioner. The bumper, with its little truck-license-plate-frame-bolt punctures, is still on my car. I went to my chiropactor a couple of times for neck adjustments, and used the rest of the money for cost-of-living expenses. :)
