Another iPod question, if I may.
OK, so I kept it set on freeze, recharged it, and it went back to ground zero, i.e., start all over again as far as songs.
Is there some way to shuffle to get different shuffles?

1. I'm not sure exactly what you want, but...
You might want to create playlists and then set them on shuffle, so that it doesn't have to cycle through your entire library.

2. Thanks, huskerlaw. I haven't made playlists. I hit 'shuffle' and it seems
that the iPod shuffles the same songs in the beginning. Is there any way to change that other than playlists?

3. Hmmm. That's odd.
I reset the shuffle all the time and haven't ever noticed that it plays the same songs. I'm a bit baffled.

5. Do you constantly upgrade your songs? I haven't after I loaded
my initial 900+, and I have noticed the same songs. I got advice that I could leave the iPod on 'hold', recharge, and go back to the original shuffle (I was finally up to something like 190 songs), but it went back to 0. I have reset shuffle, but to me, it seems like I hear the same songs when I know there are some winners in there I never hear.

6. No, not constantly...
I only upload new stuff a few times a month.

I have over 2000 songs on mine, and it seems to shuffle through all of them.

Hmm. I hope someone has an answer for ya!

4. iTunes>Preferences>Playback
There are settings for shuffle preferences.

iPod>settings>shuffle>songs/albums/off
