Anybody watch the remainder of the Sopranos?
I haven't been too impressed so far this season--it seems to be dribbling to an end.

1. I think it's been good.
But with three episodes left, I really hope it's explosive.

5. SPOILER ALERT: about last Sundays episode
Tony made a big deal of saying Christopher wasn't wearing his seatbelt, which was odd because even with it on, he was close to dead anyway.

Then when Carmela goes up to look at the body, she pauses with a look of surprise on her face--she probably saw a bruise from the seatbelt and will confront Tony about it.

Another way of looking at all the stuff building up: Tony will not die. He will kill all the vestiges of his sensitive, more moral self, then kill Phil, and be the big boss.

On Christopher, I normally think making someone a junkie or drunk is a cheap screenwriting trick, but toward the end they made it more obvious that Chris could only handle "the life" when he was high--just as he went off the wagon when they whacked Adrianna.

2. i think it's been very good and i have no idea which way it will go
will Sylvio be the rat, will Tony get killed and AJ joins the family business and eventually takeover, is Adrianna still alive, will Phil kill have everybody killed?

In a really sick way i kind of hope everybody gets killed and that way there will never be a movie.

Now you're going to make me go back and watch that episode.

9. he did and she ran but the actual killing they did not show and they usually show
killings as you are well aware. Again this is just my hope, it probably will not happen but you never know.

14. I think Sylvio is the only one Tony trusts! He better not be a rat!
I don't see Syl as being a rat. Not his character. But Paulie, maybe!

25. drum roll***the ending***
go back a season.

Syl calls Adrianna a b**ch and then aims the gun at her. He then shoots at a tree instead. "the feds wanted me to make sure you came out of this ok. just hang tight, they will be here to get you in a little while" She rats to the feds with Little Stevie.

Tony is arrested, but of course he first offs the head of the NY crime family.

4. It's been very subtle so far
My favorite character is Carmela, so I'm wondering what's in store for her. Edie Falco has won far too many Emmys for her to just simply go off as an after-thought.

19. My money is on Carm killing Tony. Every episode of this last "season" has led
me to believe that's what they are building up to. It's subtle, but taken with the whole series to date, I think she's going to crack and kill him.

of his lifestyle.

7. the tony gambling episode seemed like a misfire unless it symbolizes something bigger
it's too late in the game to give Tony an addiction like that, and make him so stupid as to jam himself up with a key ally and even try to pull Carm into it too.

11. :covers ears: na na na na na na
I only watch it on DVD because I don't get HBO (don't need it when you've got NetFlix.) Downside is I have to wait a long time for current stuff to be released.

12. I can't believe
They will be able to wrap this up in the next 3 episodes. I have a feeling that there will still be alot of unanswered questions when it finally comes to an end. They should have done a full 12 episode season to end it. I think they probably had to really convince James Gandolfini to even do these last 8 episodes, from what I understand he hasn't wanted to do the series for the last 2 seasons. He says the violence is too much. I really hope he doesn't become the next David Caruso and go and make a bunch of flops and have to run back to television just to get his career back on track.MG

He's a real bastard. The moment they cut to the scene where Chris was driving Tony home I knew something was going to happen.

23. Chris's death was so anti-climatic
although subtly set up in that scene.

Tony wants to strategize about Phil and Chris just turns up the radio.
