My daughter is getting married this weekend |
|
We are driving to Missouri on Friday for my daughter's wedding. I am not going to say "ask me anything", but please say something so I don't feel so conflicted. I've not had a chance to meet him yet. He is a sgt. in the army.
Oh, I do have one question: do you think it would be out of line for me to tell ...HIM ... that if he breaks her heart I will hunt him down and .....?
Maybe, "If you so much as think of going AWOL on my little girl, you will be begging for a court marshall before I'm through with you."

I don't think you have to say all that, just give him the look. I'm sure you know the one. He will understand.
Have fun! Eat cake!

3. over time - how have you trusted your child's judgement? |
|
A history of poor judgements vs generallty a good track record?
I am being nosey - but how long have they been involved - and why are you just meeting him at the wedding? (Guessing it was a quick courtship based on the scenario... that would make me nervous - esp if your daughter has had a track record of poor decision making.)
Hoping for your, and your daughter's sake that things work out well.
Best of luck.
