From the files of Matcom: HazMat scare turns out to be cocaine
A white powdery substance discovered at the offices of the State Franchise Tax Board turned out to be cocaine.

Firefighters were called Wednesday night to the offices on the 9600 block of Butterfield Way after an employee found an envelope containing the powdery substance. At 11:54 p.m., a hazardous materials response team arrived and discovered the substance to be cocaine, said Christian Pebbles, of the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District.

Law enforcement authorities were contacted, and the investigation is continuing.
