For some reason, I have to have all of my bills right side up and facing the same way in my wallet. It bugs me when that is not the case.

The only thing I can figure is that it's a holdover from my days of running a cash register at retail stores. It's harder to mistake one denomination for another that way, I think.

1. Largest bills go on the inside of the fold....

working out to the ones. And my money always goes into my pockets. Being a woman, that kind of limits me to jeans.

Generally, people look at me like I'm being careless with my money because I'm not fishing it out of a little change purse.

7. That's the way I do it in my wallet

Seed the money from highest denominations on the inside to singles closest to me. I do that in case I'm in line at a grocery store, etc. and don't want some creep behind me seeing big bills when I open it. Can't be too careful in this town.

Sometimes I'll even pull out just enough cash and put it in a different pocket before I get to the check out line.

I used to have a wallet with a hidden compartment but it wore out and now I'm using one given as a present by a relative. When this one gives way I think I'll search for one with the secret section. That was convenient.

3. I Bank My Bills, Too

And I always keep a crisp, uncreased new twenty in my wallet. It never gets spent, but if I get a nicer, crispier 20, it gets replaced. It's highly unlikely that I'll ever need the 'just in case' 20, but it's there, too beautiful and pristine to spend on random crap.

I have always "faced" my bills ever since I worked in retail. :)

I also like to have them in ascending order. (I have a lot of idiosyncrasies. You do not want to hear them all. :D )

Comes from when I was a bookkeeper in retail, and back then the banks would not accept deposits if the bills were not "faced"

Also, I will periodically take all my change out and sort it by size. All the quarters face up then all the nickels face up, then the dimes, then the pennies. I know the dimes are smaller than the pennies, but I like for my pennies to be where I can reach them quickly.

I always have my bills face up and in order by denomination.

When I come home from anywhere, all my change goes into a large cup, except for state quarters, which all go into a Crown Royal sack.
When the cup gets ful, I deposit it in the bank. I don't do anything with the state quarters except 'collect' them. I probably have five or six hundred dollars in state quarters.

I also have a different Crown Royal sack mostly full of Sacagwea dollars. I was collecting those for a while.

14. i make tips at work and they go straight to the envelope in the safe

the minute I walk in the door except the 1s and 5s which I keep for 'walking around' money

it's getting to be a pretty good stash too :bounce:
