I saw FM3's
Buddha Machine last week, passed it up in favor of the TeddyBears cd, and have been obsessing over this little plastic gadget ever since.
It is basically a little transistor speaker thingie that plays FM3 (a Beijing-based band)'s little techno beats on a loop. The integrity of the speaker is supposed to make it sound really cool (yeah, I hang with the vinyl crowd, we're all about medium) but even meditative-y. I'm a writer so I'm always looking for white noise- seriously, I can spend 20 minutes out of every working hour fiddling with my iTunes. I'm so itching for one of these things, probably for the novelty more than anything, but I'm thinking it might be fantastic.
It's like 30 bucks, so I may just go out tomorrow and buy it but I'll kick myself if I just listen to it once and toss it to the side.
Any thoughts? Worth buying?
