What did you dream about (if you recall,) last night?
Moi?
I had yet another in my ongoing series of flesh-rotting/plague/infection-themed dreams.

Ugh. What is with my brain?!
In my dream I took out my earring, looked in the mirror, and realized my ear was turning bruised-looking and brown. A few minutes later, it was spreading across my cheekbone and down my neck

Then SophieMN came into my room sobbing that I had not given her a bedtime kiss last night (a lie) and interrupted my dream (not that I'm complaining.)

2. I dreamed I lived across the street from Kate Hudson
In a crappy neighborhood in my hometown. She had a second floor apartment in a rundown, converted Victorian - I lived on the first floor opposite.

I had to go to her place in the morning because we'd gone out the night before and I'd left my two dogs at her place. There was ratty furniture in her living room, a threadbare rug and clutter all over the place (just what you'd expect in any of the places on that street) but there was also a huge (about 8 feet tall) and elaborately framed portrait of her on the wall.

I got my dogs but woke her up in the process and we poured shots of tequila, said hi to my nephew who was out on the lawn and went over to my place. A couple of guys, including Kurt Russell, came by and were in and out of my house drinking beer and then I noticed that the portrait was now in my living room. I didn't think it went with my decor and told her but she said I could keep it anyway.

And if anyone can tell me what THAT means, I'd love to hear it.

(and that's creepy about the flesh-eating stuff)

3. I can rarely recall a dream for more than a few minutes after I
wake up, although I'm aware of dreaming every night. Even those dreams that are memorable enough to stay with me after I'm awake fade into oblivion after a few days, or sometimes even hours.

7. MorningGlow Jr.'s preschool, for some reason
I dreamt that I was assisting in the classroom and one of the kids I'm not very fond of decided I was his best buddy and kept trying to sit in my lap. And instead of reading a story, the teacher now had a TV in the room and the kids just watched the video instead. Ew. :(

'Course, not as "ew" as flesh rotting. Not like you're asking, but if I had to interpret your dream, I'd say you were going through a transition in your life, and you're experiencing a sort of death-and-rebirth thing.

Or not.

12. Believe it or not, I got a bad dream because of Tom Cruise.
Saw "War of the Worlds" on cable, late at night.

Memories are vague but, in the dream, my 6yo daughter (who really exists) was in danger. Not a pretty sensation.

13. I had a hotel dream.
Dunno what sparked it but I was dreaming about a hotel.

Had a horrible time parking the car because I couldn't find a space (What no Valet parking?) It was a pretty nice place with an ornate lobby, and lots of plush decor, but I kept moving from room to room dragging my luggage with me. Finally, I just laid down on a bed and refuse to move any more.

Seems to be theme of "lost" or unable to find my place. Sounds pretty dead on for my work life...

16. Two recurring dreams that blended together
I have a couple of recurring dreams: One, that I'm in my grandmother's house (she died in '93; I usually don't see her in the dream, but I feel her presence, it's very strong). The other, that I am on vacation somewhere and I am miserable and want desperately to go home.

Last night, I dreamt my whole family (dad, mom, Sis, and me) were in my grandmother's house after having stayed there for a week or so, and for once I couldn't wait to go home.

:wtf:

17. I visited my great aunt and cousin
They were living in a health club/science center. Everyone was very helpful and multimedia presentations were projected on a gossamer sheet hanging over a large opening in the far wall of the science hall.

I was a little worried I didn't have any cash to tip the distinguished and elderly towel gentlemen but mr.swim rolled his eyes and lent me two fives.

18. I dreamed about a pencil from the set Heidi bought for me
I was sharpening it, but the point kept breaking in the sharpener. It was a very soft pencil and so it was just getting shorter and shorter as I kept on sharpening and sharpening it. I was getting quite bothered by it, and then I woke up.

20. I know what I dreamed the night before.
First I dreamed that my dog was being attacked by a pit bull (yes, a pit bull -- deal with it). Then, in her (sadly futile) effort to save him, my daughter ended up getting mauled herself. The dream ended with me trying to save her, and getting attacked myself. Dream bites hurt, too.

Dream #2. My wife and I were watching fireworks in Kenosha, WI. Since we had to vote, Bob Uecker was also there. Then he had a heart attack and died.

And in the worst dream of all; we needed carrots, so I went to the store. Tragically, the only carrots they had were tiny little skinny fuckers, suitable for no more than garnish! And they cost $3.95 for a little bunch of 'em! Woe and lamentations!

The next door neighbors had a pet elephant, and we were constantly having to stop the cats from sneaking out to go play with the elephant next door.

Whatever the hell that means.

25. I dont remember having dreams very often
But I do remember a recurring dream I had as a kid.

In my dream I was the only person with skin, and all the rest of my family members were trying to get mine from me. They were walking around without skin. At the time, it was a scary dream.

31. I picked up a very wet Fuzzmut (my shiz zhu) and put him in my van...
then, planning to drive around the block, I found my car bypassing the street I needed to turn into and going straight up a bridge with a 90 degree angle that just went up and up and up. I couldn't seem to keep the van from going up the bridge even though I was driving. The van seemed to go up forever while I feared being blown off the edge to the water far far far below.

At one point I found myself sitting upside down in the driver's seat with Fuzzmut on the seat beside me (right side up).

For someone with a fear of heights, this was a real nightmare!

Oh, I wasn't in bed. I was sitting in a recliner with my hands folded tightly across my abdomen. I knew I was dreaming, but couldn't wake myself up as I usually can when having a nightmare.

My husband walked into the room and saw me lying there with goose bumps so high on my legs that he said it looked like alligator skin. I heard him exclaim, "OH MY GOD! What's wrong with you!"

I had a hard time answering. Usually I wake up instantly, but not this time. With extreme effort, I was able to slur out, "Wha umean?" "Are those goosebumps?" he asked. "Isss cold."

Hmmmm.

If I were analyzing, I'd guess my dream suggests that I'm feeling out of control of my life even though I'm supposedly in the driver's seat.

And if I were analying, I'd suggest that maybe you should get a thorough check. Either you have a subconcsienc fear of being ill, or it's been a long time since you've had a check up and your mind is telling you to do it now.
