Ok, I've lost it...I think I want a kitty cat...
We've been thinking about a pet, and I was very reticent about a cat, due to my Mother's crazy cat lady tendencies...But, after perusing my local shelter's website, I'm feeling a little differently...Awwwww! Look at these furbabies! And I loves me a no-kill shelter :)

Now, convince Sniffa...He's not sold on the idea... :D

:hi:

7. Chacchi!
Go for the tabby-siamese mix. He'll be the smartest, most loving cat you've ever seen. (I know, I have one--you get the best traits of both breeds, all in one cat).

And Buddha looks like my cat Sam that I grew up with.

Chacchi...I really think you need Chacchi....

9. Cats are really VERY low-maintenance pets, and the love they give
rival any other animal you could have as a pet, in my opinion!

I'm not sure what the shelter in your town is like, but the one I visited sometime back in my town had a great setup, with a few "private rooms" where you could interact with a dog or cat you were interested in and get a good sense of their personality. This is really the key to picking the right one, as their personality determines everything as to whether they would be a good match for your situation. Once you find the right pet for you, you'll fall in love in no time!

I adopted Willow from a breeder as she was a purebred cat that had some trouble birthing her first litter being as small as she is (only about 6 lbs. as an adult), and the breeder just wanted to find a good "forever home" for her. She actually didn't charge me a dime for her, which was amazing, and at this point, I couldn't see ever giving her up for anything.

You guys had a question about food and the recalls; there are plenty of quality foods that are perfectly safe and shouldn't be too hard to find in your area, so don't spend too much time worrying about that. The Pets forum is an excellent source of information if you have questions...

10. OK, there are only two things you need to know about cats.....
1) They are the finest form of life on earth-- and that goes double for kittens.

2) When in doubt about whether to serve cats forever, see #1.

I could not imagine life without my cats.

I'm just trying to convince Ms. A-E that we need a St. Bernard. I think I'm wearing her down...
