1. I'm mainly a beer and whiskey type
although I do enjoy dirty martinis and bloody marys with extra horseradish, but liking "girly drinks" is nothing to be ashamed of. Ms. A-E isn't ashamed to admit she drinks whiskey straight, why should one be ashamed of liking cosmopolitans or long island iced tea? The point is you like booze, and that's something I can get behind.

16. LOL! First thing I thought of is the Kids in the Hall
David Foley was in the skit, and got hooked on girly drinks.

"I am just...getting...PAPERCLIPS!"

Personally, I love Southern Comfort.

7. What kind of "girly girl" drinks?
I'm a girly-girl who doesn't drink much in the way of girly-girl drinks, though I did have a specialty "martini" last weekend.

8. I will defend to the death your right to drink whatever you like
But IMO, life is too short for frothy concoctions with umbrellas and fruit chunks on top. Give me a good whisky, a good wine, or a good beer - and don't muck it up with any mixers. However, there is a saying in backpacking that one should "hike your own hike" and don't listen to people who will tell you the 'right way' to do it; I'd extend that to "drink your own drink" as well...

(On a side note - I was surprised last week to learn that an Appletini is a real drink - I thought it was a 'Scrubs' joke.)

11. Oh, an appletini is a real drink.
What bugs me is people who think that just because it has "tini" in its name and it's served in a martini glass, that it's a martini.

I'm trying to remember what kind of faux "martini" drink I had last weekend - it was actually pretty good, and it had pear juice and vodka in it. I just can't remember what they called it.

9. I have a friend who doesn't think a cosmopolitan is a girly drink
I think I have to prove the point to her by ordering one and letting her see the reactions at the bar

13. Good for you, Heaven and Earth. Nothing like a frozen strawberry margarita!
(Is that considered a girly drink?)

Personally, I think that it shows that you're secure in your masculinity.

That's the real question here.

And hey, my girly drinks all designed to get you drunk faster, so I don't see what's wrong with that.

19. Well, yeah.
Best way to get drunk; tequila with beer chasers, but sometimes I don't want to taste the alcohol. :P

I pass along to you my cosmo recipe.

1oz. Smirnoff Vanilla Vodka (well I use Smirnoff, but any kind will do)
1oz. Smirnoff Citrus Vodka
1oz. Tripe Sec
4oz. Cranberry Juice
Splash of Rosa's Lime Juice (and a twist of fresh lime)

Put it all in a shaker with a ton of ice and shake the hell out of it. :7

21. A friend of mine is in the SAS,...
...the British Army Special Air Service, as rough and tough a gung-ho commando type as you'd ever want to meet. His favorite tipple? White wine spritzers.

I guess if you're a lean mean killing machine, you can drink whatever you damned well want.
