I am going to an arena football game tonight.
I can't decide if I'm going to love it, or if I'm going to want to skip out early and head to The Front Door for a Belgian brew and a pizza.

5. Tough call - the company suite implies free food and drinks,
but on the other hand you probably have to be a bit moderate in front of the clients. As for the game, I'd guess it's going to be both cool and boring. When I watch AFL on TV I findthe first few minutes to be extremely exciting, but then I find myself thinking "wait, how long are they going to keep doing this?"

6. Yes - company sponsored food and drinks.
Some of the clients will be people I haven't met yet, so yes, decorum will be necessary. :)

8. Just make sure that Mr. LIW knows that he owes you a real night out in return
My wife has finally convinced me that 'Faculty Party' <> 'Date' - I'm sure business events are in the same category...

11. Sometimes. Some of the business nights I have to socialize pleasantly
with people I don't know or don't know well and have little in common with.

Other times, we'll be with business associates we are also friends with, and that's more fun.

10. I used to have season tickets to see the Storm
years ago. It was a family thing that we did. All the home games and two ArenaBowls. I actually enjoyed it, and I'm not a sports watcher. There's more action and it's much more brutal. It's like rollerderby meets football.
