Fairly hardy and forgiving. I used to feed mine with a small bit of raw hamburger on a toothpick. Just touch it to any two of the hairs inside and it will close up. Draw out and the toothpick and go, "Wow, man...that's groovy!" Don't feed them too often - I think they get indigestion. And don't allow any foreign stuff like grass mulch into the little vases on the stem. They like lots of sun and thrive in unbearably hot temperatures. They don't like cold weather and will suffer if left out in it.
