What are you doing for Memorial Day weekend?
We're going camping for three days - I've got a short day Friday and I'm off Monday - my SO is off both days so we're going to our favorite spot for some R&R. I can't wait. :bounce:

Anyone else got plans?

I took this at our camping spot when we went this past February -

1. I'm going away alone to Chicago!
with no kid and no husband!

:toast:

(it's rare that I get a chance to travel alone, these days.)

I really enjoyed all the art and sculpture. It's always a pleasure to not have to be a "mom" for a day or two.

:hi:

hppe you have a nice camping trip!

5. I'm hoping to go to a BBQ at a friend's in CT
Problem is, they are way on the other side of CT--probably a 3-hour drive--and that's tough if coming home the same day. Don't know if a stay-over is possible because the friend I'd probably go with has to work the next day.

6. It's my birthday.
I'm going to throw a bunch of ribs, a brisket and some beans into the smoker and drink myself into a stupor.

7. Not sure yet.
Definitely not camping because that's when everyone else starts going. We usually go before Memorial Weekend and then again in October. Haven't had a chance to this year so I guess we'll wait til fall.

Whatever we do, it won't involve driving. At $3.29/gal., I can't afford it and wouldn't give them the satisfaction of paying for more than it takes to get to and from work at that price. I'd stop driving altogether if I could.

8. Having a HUGE garage sale...
Selling lots and lots of my stuff. Good stuff, but I have no room or need for it.

Come on by, I'll make you a deal...

11. BBQ with as many friends as we can gather in one place.
I mean BBQ too, not grilling. Slow cooked meat from at least 3 different grill masters. Lots of traditional and untraditional sides.
