Who the hell determines what language or content is edited from TV?
I was watching Cold Mountain tonight, which I found surprisingly good, on Bravo. Bravo has always been pretty liberal with regard to content, so I wasn't surprised when a scene in which a woman is raped was not edited from the broadcast. What shocked me was when they blipped the word "shit".

What kind of dumbfuck figures it's no big deal for audiences to see a woman violated; but their virgin ears can't be assaulted with vulgar language?

3. I have to laugh when they blip the "god" out of "god damn"
Shouldn't the fundies be complaining about the lack of god in cinema?

4. That was the only word I noticed that was edited...
I don't think there was much "obscene" language, unless I've just become desensitized to it.

5. Don't you remember the lesson from the South Park movie?
Deplorable, horrific violence is OK as long as you don't use any naughty language.

7. I've only seen about 15 minutes of Southpark...
I just couldn't get into it...

But apparently Bravo editors saw that episode. :D
