Post your favorite way to screw with the environment here! |

Here's one:
Buy the most high-powered batteries you can find, whether it's Panasonic OxyRide (now available in the US) or those souped-up Duracell or Energizer models - and use them for the sole purpose of powering your nose-hair trimmer!

1. I put a Duracell AA battery in my wall clock |
|
Those are about the best batteries on sale here. That thing will probably be going longer than I will.
The really stupid thing is, the clock only takes one, but the batteries are always sold in even numbers. I have another one left waiting to go in it!

2. I try to buy rechargeable Ni-MH batteries when I can |
|
When they start running out of their ability to hold a charge in something like a digital camera, they're still good for a few uses in appliances like remote controls, small clocks, or the aforementioned nose-hair trimmer.
That way, I can squeeze as much use out of those batteries as possible before recycling them. Yes, I found a place in the Dallas area that will recycle batteries. Yay!
