Heads getting chopped off, bodies getting splattered from a .50 cal at close range, exploding arrows, throats ripped out.

Wow, this looks like a pretty good popcorn flick.

2. When it comes to Stallone, brain cells don't matter. Unless they get blown up.
Why didn't R4 be written as Rambo finally having a job, and having it offshored to... Vietnam? That would at least have a grain of substance, even if the concept is fiction (for now).

That trailer, as with that man, disgusts me. He's a washed up sell out peddling mindless violence.

3. i disagree
Stallone is a very smart man and a good writer (he wrote Rocky).

I think this new Rambo movie is more in line with First Blood than the two over-the-top sequels which were Reaganesque in their rah-rah Americana. If you look back at the first one, Rambo is a guy who got screwed by the government, came back home, got screwed over by local law enforcement and had enough and decided to fight back. That's why it was called First Blood, because they started the fight with him.

In this one, he's older, living in isolation in Burma, and doesn't want to fight anyone. But gets pulled into a confluct to save aid workers.

I mean, obviously it's just a movie. But I don't think it's mindless. Certainly though, it's violent.
