Help! requested on DVD regions |
|
I know that all DVDs are separated by region, and that's fine. I want to play a Region 2 (UK) DVD on the computer, but don't know what I need to do that. I do have a multi-regional DVD player, but if it's a matter of just getting some coding or whatever to play it on the computer, I would certainly appreciate that information. Thanks!

2. I'm running Windows Vista, so YMMV on these instructions. Anyways, I go into |
|
Start, and then Computer. From there I right click on my DVD drive, then go to Properties. From there I click on drive from the list of drives and click on Properties again at the bottom. From the next screen I click on DVD Region and select the region I want to play. You only have a limited amount of times you can change the region. There are programs out there that can reset the times you can change regions, but out of the box, you only have 5 times. Hope that helps.

3. I can't say that I have done this on a Windows machine... |

http://www.wikihow.com/Rip-DVDsFollow that to remove the encryption. You should then have .vob files on your hard drive. Play those with something like VLC.. Google VLC, it should be the first link.
