Hopeless and Hopeful romantics check in here

See? I do have a tender side. Can't be an old curmudgeon all the time...

A couple of Joni Mitchell tunes, one played by the amazing Diana Krall

Joni Mitchell: Amelia http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZABRLvAbN4

Me, I like Ella Fitzgerald, especially the songbooks, especially the ballads. :loveya:

3. Ella was great. When she was in her prime there was no peer.

But, you have to so admire Joni for her talent and stage presence. She can write lyrics that envelop you, define you and your given mood.

4. And here's to the singer-songwriter.
Ms. Joni M. will always be with us, in one form or another...though I must say some artists are better than others when it comes to covering her songs.

5. Right on, brutha
The most romantic album in the world (IMHO) is Roxy Music's "Avalon". It's not their best by a long shot, but it sets such a mood that it's irresistable.

(And more good news: looks like me and my gf are back together! We've had a talk and worked out our differences. Good times ahead...)

one of my elderly patients told me that her problem was that she "fell in love" too easily.

11. LOL
who was nearly 80 I believe, most of my patients are. Geri psych unit.

I was not having romantic ideas about her if that is what you are thinking :silly:

I could relate to her sentiment. She has alzheimer's and i asked her what she thought bothered her the most.

Her reply was so spot on for me to relate to that I saw in myself, my possible future. A life lived with a constant sense of "falling in love"

My gift I see the beauty in things, my curse I am often feeling dropped on my ass

13. Hopeless romantic until the end.
I wouldn't want to be any other way.

Heartbreak sucks like nothing else, but Love rules like nothing else.

It's the bitter with the sweet, and I'll take it.

14. That's what Joni says..."You're like holy wine. You taste so bitter,
and yet so sweet..."

Thanks for the song. I like Counting Crows!

15. You're welcome.
That songs always exuded the cycle of romance to me.

Counting Crows are awesome. I got to see them in '97.
