Tin Cup - gotta be one of the

funniest sports themed movies of all time. Any debate on that? I recorded it today, never seen the whole thing before.

Caddy: "You're brain was gettin in the way"

Tin Cup: "Well thats hardly ever been the case..."

1. Written by the same guy who did Bull Durham
"Does my inner child need a spanking? "

And Cheech Marin had some wonderful momments.

Romeo: Well, David Simms may be a "soulless robot", but he's a rich, happy, soulless robot... with a beautiful doctor lady girlfried. Besides, how's getting in the Open going to change what she thinks about you?
Roy: Well, it'll show her that I'm not who she thinks I am.
Romeo: But you are who she thinks you are!

9. Ron Shelton--one of my favorite screen writers. "The Great White Hype"
is an underrated masterpiece. Also wrote "White Men Can't Jump," "Play it to the Bone," "Blue Chips" (An unrecognized film, despite Shaquille O'Neal being quite amusing in it).

Sadly, once he gets away from sports, he sucks, as "Bad Boys 2" proves.

5. Good grief!
That was the top entry on The Definitive Top Ten Worst Films of All Time.

Read about it here if you don't believe me.

Seriously, that was the first film I ever rented and returned without watching all the way through. If you're not a crazy golf fan, I can't imagine how you can tolerate more than ten minutes of this dreadful, dreadful movie.

Of course, YMMV! :P

10. That's a dumb list.
Some of those were weak, but hardly worst. "Tin Cup" was genius--sorry you didn't get it. I'm not a golf fan, but I loved the film. I haven't seen some of them. "The Postman" was a good film, "Waterworld" was average but watchable.

Any list of Worst Films Ever that doesn't include "Ferris Buehler's Day Off" or the Lord of the Rings monstrosities isn't worth a darn, anyway. :)

6. yessss!!
I love that movie!!

Cheech kills me, he stole the show.

Put your change in your left pocket.

Go on, do it.

Now, tie your left
shoe in a double knot.

- Tie my left shoe?
- Right now, do it!

Turn the hat backwards.

Turn your hat around.
Do it, Roy!

Take this tee...

...and stick it...

...behind your left ear.

I look like a fool!

Well what do you think you look like
shooting those chili peppers up Lee Janzen's ass?

17. He was ok in Dances with Wolves
Because 90% of his lines were stilted voice-over narrations of him reading from his character's journal.

Untouchables wasn't bad either. "Gentlemen, let's do some GOOD!"
