And no personal transpo. I THINK I could get from the east coast to the west coast hitch-hiking, but I might be wrong. I'm pretty resourceful at scrounging rides.

1. when younger, i hitched from LA to the southern tip of Mexico with friends...

and backpacks; we traded services for food & lodging, slept on rooftops under the stars, met wonderful people, drunk tequila handed us from the weathered hands of mayors & city officals in towns far off the beaten path...it was cool & i'll never forget it :)
