They're firing people and the rest of us have to work harder to make up
It's just cheating. It all seems to have gone through the looking glass in the last few months. I think much of the business world is insane at this point. It's like trying to maximize profits before "the end of the earth" meteor hits, rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. Just keep thinking "peak oil".

1. It's like that where I work too.
I work at least 50 hours a week, sometimes up to 70 if it is close out week.

3. Not true!
Per hour, a number of European countries have better productivity than the US. Where we excel is in productivity per worker, largely because USians work many more hours than other industrialized nations.

Makes you proud to be an American, right?
