Police Arrest Teen For Intentionally Running Over Ducks

SUNRISE, Fla. -- Police said they arrested a 17-year-old boy on charges he intentionally ran over five Muscovy ducks.

Sunrise Police Lieutenant Robert Voss said four of the ducks were killed and one was seriously injured Tuesday.

The teenager faces five counts of cruelty to animals. The third-degree felony carries a penalty of up to five years in state prison and a $10,000 fine.

A woman called authorities to report that a young man in a car was circling the neighborhood, intentionally hitting ducks.

Voss said that when the duck entered the roadway, he would swerve to hit it.

This makes me really sad. There was one at the lake I used to go to, he's been there for at least 10 years. His mate got killed and he stayed behind. His name is Bubba, and he's the only one there. They look like this
