she wrote a textile college textbook, maybe the only one in Korean.

3. i collect fabrics..
right now i`m into 50`s kitchen fabrics. i have other fabrics from the the early 1910 on up. i used to sell draperies and upholster furniture, so i can understand your fabric addition. the mart is like mecca to me....

4. I dream about early Soviet fabrics
I'd love to make a dress from a fabric with electrical wires and tractor motifs.

7. That's really cool
My goal when I was younger was to be a textile designer. I still think a lot of the motifs in my paintings would make good prints. Maybe someday!

8. Orchard Street in the Lower East Side of NYC
fabric heaven!

There is also this place in Chinatown/Tribeca that has vintage fabrics but I can't remember the name of it. It had some stuff like you described. And lots of art deco-y dress fabrics that Myrna Loy, greta Garbo, and other '30s screen sirens would have worn. Incredible.
