Colon must pay for party

Ald. Rey Colon (35th) will be billed for expenses related to a political event held on city property after neighbors complained that Chicago Park District employees were used to set up his "inaugural celebration."

Parks officials initially thought that Colon's Monday night gathering, which carried $25 admission tickets and sponsorships of up to $2,000, was a non-political Logan Square community event, which would not have required a charge, a spokeswoman said.
