I was pulling weeds and got stabbed in the arm by a barb |
|
Which came off a plant. It hurt when it stabbed me and I immediately washed it off. In washing it, the barb fell off and went down the drain. The spot where it hit now has a raised bump and is red around about half of the bump. I have no idea what plant it came off of. We moved here last year and our yard already had a number of plants. It could have been from an intentional plants or a weed, although in this particuliar area we are considering digging it all up and replanting because we aren't really sure in some cases. We live in Wisconsin. Does anyone know what plant shoots irritating barbs into ones arm that might be a Wisconsin or ornamental plant?

1. It's hard to say without seeing the leaves. There are many |
|
plants/bushes with thorns.
I had the bright idea to put in a couple barberry bushes. They may be pretty, but I keep forgetting they have some nasty thorns and they need to be trimmed to be kept under control..so I'm scratched up a couple times of year from them.
