A Bird Cam - Stork On The Nest - Four Eggs
Edited on Thu May-24-07 01:44 PM by eleny
I need some calming today. A friend sent me this stork cam. Click on the "transmisja" link. They can stay still for a bit and then up they go and there's the eggs. Or the second stork appears and the beak clattering begins. --> http://bocian.polska.pl/transmisja2.htm

2. how cool is that?!
I love cams like this. I was addicted to the africacam for months.

Hope that light isn't shining right on them though.

Thanks for the link.:hi:

4. Yes, it's Poland
I'm concerned about the light, too. But they appear to be doing fine.

It's interesting when they switch who sits on the eggs. Clattering their bills and head bobbing. Now, one of them has been cleaning and scratching itself.

I don't know where the nest is located. They nest high up. Maybe someone reads Polish and can help.

Last year there was a great eagle's nest cam on the northwest coast of Canada.

5. Storks are good luck

...it's good luck to have a stork nest on your house.

And yes I'm old enough to remember seeing stork nests on houses...lol.

Cheers

9. Alas, I don't have it anymore, and I doubt it's even online
It showed a squid in a jar, but the squid had died. Sundog posted it, at a time when cam threads were all the rage here in The Lounge, and it was just the most hilarious thread ever. I howled with laughter. And he would keep re-posting it, updating us on its condition.

I miss Sundog. What a nut.

11. It's noisy in the background. I hear a dog barking
and something that sounds like a chain saw.

12. I heard that "chain saw" sound yesterday, too
The storks seem unfazed. They're pretty tolerant!
