Looks like the big job wasn't in the cards.... SHIT!

Several months back I quoted a huge Casting job for a big mall in california.
And everything was going peachy.They loved our samples and at first were ok with the quote.
Well we were put off for weeks for a final answer.
Yesterday it looked like a done deal..
We were so close to scoring this big job that would have allowed me to quit my day job and work full time for myself.
Well today we got the word after we trimmed 40,000 bucks off of the quote that we still were to expensive and the job is dead.
Just FUCK!!!

And you are right, there will be something better around the corner. I will tell you that most of the jobs we thought we were going to get, turned out to be such a pain in the ass that in the end I'm glad we didn't get them.

If it's any consolation, we can totally relate. The start-up computer company my hubby works for, in which he holds a big chunk of equity stock, was all set to be bought up by another major tech company last fall. Everything was lookin' good and we were already thinking of how we were gonna spend all the money....and then the deal fell through at the very last minute. It was incredibly disappointing, but oh well...

Easy come, easy go...It's all about timing and the timing wasn't right in this case.
