Bugs Bunny: Freeped?
Check out this synopsis of the 1949 Bugs Bunny cartoon, "High Wire Hare":

High Diving Hare 1949
Directed by: Freleng, I. Featuring: Yosemite Sam
Description: Bugs is a barker at a circus luring people to see a high-diving act featuring Fearless Freep. When Freep is delayed, Sam forces Bugs to perform the act instead. Naturally, Bugs winds up making Sam fall off the diving platform.

1. kick...
think of it as a RW propaganda piece:

Bugs Bunny is the Liberal American Public
Yosemite Sam is "Uncle Sam", the Governement
and Fearless Freep is the Conservative American Public

Bugs Bunny is forced to take over the machinery of society because Freep doesn't show up for work (probably drunk somewhere, and in shock after waking up beside a red-headed stepchild).

Bugs tricks Sam into administering the machinery of society, a task for which he is underqualified. He ends up falling of a high-dive platform into a glass of water, and Bugs Bunny survives to run things his way.

The water represents revolution.
