Who else is wearing five layers of clothing?
I'm wearing two tee-shirts, a cotton shirt, and two sweatshirts ... thermal underwear, regular underwear, and thick cotton socks.

Let spring come soon, please!

2. Yea it was chilly here today
I drove to LA, and put my windows up part of the way because I felt cold.

Must've been 68 degrees! Brrrrrrr!

7. I guess all the sympathetic folk ...
... are all frozen solid. Once I use a spatula to lift the two dogs off of the floor, I'm jumping under the covers with all my layers. Michigan is just frigid!

5. Allergic to wool?
I even sleep in wool in this weather, between an electric mattress pad and an electric blanket topped by a comforter. When the wind blows against my 7 foot windows, no amount of heat is enough.

I have lovely ugly sheepskin slippers for walking around the apartment, wool tights covered by polyester sweat pants, a thin cashmere turtleneck covered by a thicker wool sweater and sometimes a quilted vest over that.

To sleep, I put on a wool tunic with the longest cowl neck that goes right up over my head and the wool tights and wool socks.

I may never sleep in anything but sweaters again.

8. I am indeed allergic to wool.
Tonight I'm dressed in fiive layers of cotton and wondering how I can help my geriatric basset hound outside without having to lift her fat ass up the steps when she's done pooping.

What a pathetic scene that must be for anyone who's watching--There are four steps up to the back porch, and I have to heft her haunches every step of the way--not only because she's old, but because I've allowed her to get pretty basset-fat.

She must be almost fifteen by now, but I digress. The subject was wool. It's not my piece of cake. Wool makes me itch. To hell with wool. I like cotton, and it's really time for bed--time to scratch my ass and wonder why I stayed up so late.

Best, to all.

Must be awful cold.

it better be well below zero (Fahrenheit) if you're that wrapped up!

11. We haven't had winter yet...
Here in Wichita we had a 7" snow a couple of weeks before Christmas and that was it. It started warming up after that and was 62 a couple of days ago. All next week is upper 40's to low 50's.

Usually when we watch the Chiefs play on Sundays we'll crank up the fireplace. On their last game last week it was about 65 outside! Should have gone ahead and lit the fireplace and then turned on the AC heh he....

12. I'm wearing 4 layers
and I'm still a little bit cold, mostly my fingers and toes. The heating and insulation is bad in this house. I looked at the weather report and it's supposed to warm up a little bit here in the Northeast but not too much.

13. House is warm
but when I get the gas bill for this month, I won't be happy. I'm OK with just flannel pajamas, socks and slippers. It's 13 F here now and it's supposed to be a combination of snow, sleet, and rain today. I'm trying to plan my layers to go out and run errands, then add some more to take a walk with one of the dogs. I should get going so I can drive down the hill before it ices but just want to sit here and drink coffee.
