"Warn Out" as depressing a post as you might ever read

On the occasion of the 1000th moof post

a sort of rememberance of all those who
paid the price for the rich men's pride

Warn Out

They were busy killin in Korea on the date that I was born
they killed 50 thousand and maimed a 100 thousand more.

They threatened to kill us all with a-bombs when I was in 3rd grade
They said learn to duck & cover or you'll end up in a grave.

They killed my President while I was in Junior High
They said it was just the one man but I was sure that was a lie.

They started killing boys from my town as I started into High School
They killed them in a jungle, they called it Vietnam.

They killed about 15 thousand the year I got my drivers license
They said that they were winning and I hoped it was not a lie

They killed Martin when he complained about war
They said it was just one man but I suspected it was a lie

They killed Bobby when he said he would stop it
They said it was just one man but I was sure it was a lie

They had killed 10 thousand more by the time I went to the prom
Their guy said he had a secret plan but the killing continued strong

They kept on killing and college was looking great
but before my high school graduation
They killed four unarmed students on the campus at Kent State.

They got most of the POWs home as my college days were done
They had killed 50 thousand and maimed 300 thousand more.

1. Yes it seems things stay the same.

I recall going to the movies and seeing kids being bombed in England as a child and watching the people on the roads with the planes bombing them. I came in the world with wars some place and I am going to go out with the same. I never figured it would be the USA doing it.I am old enough to recall when we were the 'good guys'.Sad.

There is nothing wrong with this post, as he is only telling the truth, more's the pity. I have been around for some of it and remember.:-(
